Mum came to visit for the weekend. The weather was perfect and we had a really nice time. She brought several special hand-made things for the babe (two knitted blankets - gorgeous, and a bunch of hand knitted wash cloths (all different stitching) made from organic cotton!). The little one isn't even here yet and she's already spoiled. :)
So, for the umpteenth time, my mum tried to show me how to use the sewing machine. She can spool thread like a pro and whip something together from scratch in about an hour. She measured the changing pad, made some patterns with some left over tissue paper and Wha-La. We had a custom made baby-changing-pad cover. She saw the fear in my eyes after she magically pulled this together and offered to take the rest of the fabric home with her so she could make some more!! She's so incredibly talented. (I'm having a hard time just making pillow cases!). Thanks mum for all of your help.
